Program Division

The AARL Program Division provides a variety of events, activities and services that interpret and highlight the various collections and collection emphasis of the Library. Programming includes an ongoing series of seminars, lectures, workshops, book discussions and reading, exhibits, and special initiatives. The Auburn Avenue Research Library through programming, exhibits, learning sessions and outreach to the community, seeks to celebrate the similarities and differences among people, and to incite wonder and appreciation for the contributions of African-Americans and the people of the African Diaspora to history and culture. It is through the presentation of educational, cultural and scholarly program events and exhibitions that the library interprets its collections, and highlights its materials and services to the public.
