Friends of the Library
- The Friends volunteer in libraries helping with many important tasks and projects.
- They focus public attention on library services and advocate for libraries to get the support they need.
- They sponsor programs and cultural activities to involve the community in the library.
- They enhance the library by donating important items or by funding programs that are not in the library's budget.
- Some Friends organizations hold book sales to raise money for the library.

Donation to the Collections
Donating to the Research Collections of the Auburn Avenue Research Library on African American Culture and History means that you will be preserving the heritage and contributions of people of African descent in the Southeast and throughout the United States. Your donation will help insure that resources documenting the legacy of Africana peoples will be made accessible for study and interpretation for future generations.
