Mechanicsville Library Now Closed (as of 7/8)

The Mechanicsville Library, located at 400 Formwalt St., SW, Atlanta 30312, is now closed for renovations, as part of the ongoing Library Renovation Project. Patrons in need of an alternate library to return library materials can visit http://afpls.org/locations or use the Library System’s library locator tool to search for an alternate library.

The Mechanicsville Library officially closed to the public on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 6 p.m. in order to begin extensive renovation work, as part of the Library’s Capital Improvement Program, Phase II project.

New construction is expected to take approximately 6-9 months. During construction library service will be available at the following nearby locations:

• Metropolitan Library, 1332 Metropolitan Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30310
• West End Library, 525 Peeples Street SW, Atlanta 30310
• Martin Luther King, Jr. Library, 409 John Wesley Dobbs Ave., Atlanta 30312
